Chakushin Ari 2 aka One Missed Call is the sequel of the famous supernatural horror Chakushin Ari. This sequel is directed by Renpei Tsukamoto and was released just after two years of the first part. Kyoko Okudera's (Mimura) colleagues have convinced her to visit her boyfriend Naota Sakurai (Yu Yoshizawa) in a restaurant where he worked. The owner of the restaurant Mr.Wang accidentally received a call on his daughter's cell. Just after that Mr.Wang died under mysterious circumstances inside the kitchen. Naota met a journalist friend who was investigating in that matter. Several other deaths were linked. The only connection they discovered was that every victim had received a call just before his or her death.
This movie is a big dissappointment for me, especially after the first part. The director failed to portray the story clearly and as a result it was a mess. At certain point, the story seemed to make no sense at all. Acting and sound effects are okiesh. May be this is a bad movie, or just the first part was too good.
